Mother’s Day Edition: Easy Mom and Daughter Workout Ideas to Begin Your Fitness Journey Together

So, its Mother’s day and we are sure — you must be looking for some out of the box ideas to spend your mother’s day for your mom. How about after celebrating this day with some good food, good music, good entertainment, we start a pact of being regular with our workout because health comes first? And when we come up with a pact with our moms, we are ensuring her health first as well.

P.S – Since you both would be doing it together, there are very fewer chances that you guys will be missing out on it for each other’s sake. Not at all a bad deal, if you think!

Here we state some of the simplest workout ideas that you both can start together. Don’t worry, no equipment used.

Some Simple Stretching

We promised no exercises full of fuss. Let’s get started with some stretching. Stretching reduces the extra slabs from your body while tightening your muscles, and making you flexible.

Surya Namaskar

If you make a practice of doing Surya Namaskar daily at the start of any exercise, you are always going to stay fit, healthy, and positive. It includes a set of 12 yoga asanas and all offer different advantages to your body, soul, and mind. So, make sure to include this one on your list.

Beginner’s Yoga Poses

Along with the Surya namaskar, you can include some of the basic beginner yoga poses in your workout routine for the start because we all go from 0 to 100. Make sure to do a lot of balancing poses because that can improve your posture, give you confidence, and also strengthen your core.

Squats

It is easier done than procrastinate. Trust me, you don’t have to start with 50 squats if you are a beginner, you can just begin with 10 for a week and then keep on increasing 5 or 10 squats more every week. This will be done in a blink of an eye. This cuts the thigh muscle, tones your entire leg, waist, hips, and back.

Lunges

Again, if you both want to focus on cutting the thigh fat or are trying to tone the calves, then lunges are a great workout for you. Also, this is quite easy again. You can start with a lesser number and then go to progress.

A Bit Of Cardio

Doing some cardio is always good because that lifts the spirit, brings some fuel to your workout diary, and also makes you lose some weight on the go. Simple cardio could be jogging on the grass being barefoot because that is the best.

Pranayama

You must include some pranayama in your workout because it is a form of meditation that soothes your soul and calms your mind. Doing pranayama like kapalabhati and anulom vilom cleanses your inner body and improves your breathing.
